Mikael Hallstrøm Eriksen (1979) lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark
Mikael Hallstrøm works conceptually and formally with the relationship between nature and culture. In his drawings, he uses repetitive and accumulative mark-making as a way to explore the structures, meanings and visual potential of well-known materials such as ballpoint pens, watercolours, paper and fire.
Mikael Hallstrøm works with drawings, sculptures and installations and has participated in group exhibitions at Den Frie Udstillingsbygning, Charlottenborg Kunsthal and Aarhus Kunsthal among others.
